Adding Your Core Rehabilitation Exercises to Daily Life

Canstockphoto6418269_1
Often in the course of people doing their Core Rehabilitation we will get a call, "I just can't get the exercises done in a day," or "I keep forgetting to do them I'm so busy."  Anyone that has tried to learn something knew knows that failure generally happens the 2nd or 3rd week.  Whatever you are trying to learn is not a habit yet and so we tend to balk at the need to think about it and plan for it.

Core Rehabilitation does not have to be an all consuming effort in a day.  By making your everyday activities your reminder to do your exercises you can actually accomplish them while:  changing a diaper, feeding your baby, driving in the car, or even checking FB and Twitter.  It is easier to put it into what you already do than trying to add in at the end of the day when you are exhausted. Moms are notorious for multi-tasking so you can do this.

One of our clients put yellow stickies up by the washing machine and at the kitchen sink to remind her to do the exercises while in these two places.  Get creative and find a plan you can live with.  Better yet share with us what you have done to help others as they rehab their core too.

Happy Monday to all Strong Tummies!
